Eclipse Banking Day Copenhagen, June 1, 2010

Eclipse Banking Day is a day-long event for senior technical developers, architects and managers in the finance industry to learn how to better leverage Eclipse technology and the Eclipse community as part of their development strategy. The event will focus on three themes:

1. Eclipse as a platform for application development;
2. Leveraging Eclipse modeling technology for data exchange; and
3. Collaborating with the open source community.

Attendees will have the chance to hear speakers from leading financial institutions and experts from the Eclipse community. This event builds on the success of Eclipse Banking Days in London, New York and Frankfurt.

Welcome RCP Vision to the Eclipse Foundation

The Florence and Livorno/Italy based company joined the Eclipse Foundation as a solution member

RCP Vision provides training and consulting services for Eclipse related technologies.

Supporting the adoption of Eclipse platform and exploring Eclipse development techniques is the primary goal. Mirroring Eclipse in Italy, publishing tutorials on the company site (http://www.rcp-vision.com) and mentoring are others activities.

RCP Vision services include prototyping, analysis of requirements, team coaching on agile techniques, design patterns development, bug-tracking and testing tools evangelism.

RCP Vision focuses on development of both custom plug-ins for Eclipse IDE and Eclipse RCP-based Applications. With deep knowledge of the Eclipse platform and patterns RCP Vision allows its customers to easily get in touch and up-to-date with major Eclipse frameworks.

Among the various technologies available, the most effective and productive is the Model Driven software development with Eclipse Modeling Framework (EMF).

Eclipse Summit Europe: Inviting Sponsors

We want to inform you that we have launched the Eclipse Summit 2010 website http://eclipsesummit.org.

Through May 31, 2010, the sponsorship fee is €3,200 (three thousand two hundred) for Eclipse members in good standing and returning Eclipse Summit Europe sponsors in good standing; otherwise the fee is and €3,480 (three thousand four hundred eighty). Beginning June 1, 2010, the fee is €4,000 (members and returning sponsors) or €4,350 (non-members).

Be A Speaker At Eclipse Testing Day

The Eclipse Testing Day is a day-long event for technical developers, testers, architects, and managers to learn more about testing with Eclipse and OSGi technology. It will take place at the Commundo Tagungshotel in Darmstadt on the 8th September.

We are looking for contributions that fit into the areas of:

1. Testing Eclipse as a platform for application development
2. Testing OSGi-based applications
3. Testing Tools based on Eclipse

Talks will last 45 minutes, including time for questions. Presentations that include demos or are based on real-life projects are especially welcome.

Please submit your proposals by July 2nd to testingday@microdoc.com. Please include the following information in your proposal:

- Presentation title and 100-200 word abstract
- Name, affiliation, 100-200 word bio, picture and contact information
- Language (English preferred)

Welcome Bosch Group to the Eclipse Foundation

The Bosch Group (http://bosch.de), with headquarters in Stuttgart Germany, has recently joined the Eclipse Foundation as a solution member.
